Private company held a contest and winners obtained $ 3,000.
Viviana Tacuri, Jesús Guanga and Jorge Silva created a web application that helps to measure and optimize resources in the execution of Corporate Social Responsibility programs.
The technological tool was developed to participate in a competitive funds program that was looking for this type of application.
In this call, promoted by Moderna Alimentos in alliance with the Higher Polytechnic School of Chimborazo (Espoch), 36 teams participated.
Legacy Improve, the team of Tacuri, Guanga and Silva, convinced the jury with their proposal and they won $ 3,000 with which they hope to start a technological venture.
The young students of the Espoch electronics faculty opted for an application that allows automating, for example, information about the processes that the company executes to help vulnerable sectors within the area in which its factories operate.
“This application helps the most is by facilitating the compilation of information on the process, on volunteering; it gathers indicators to see how they are influencing the vulnerable sectors where the programs are carried out,” explain the creators.
It took the students about three months to develop this application, in which they were accompanied by professionals from the information technology area.
With the $ 3,000, the young people will start a venture for the development of web pages and mobile applications.
The developers believe it is necessary for the country to have more competitive funds to support initiatives of young university students.
