Netflix has opened part of its catalog and allows you to watch movies and series from your computer or Android phones gatis without being registered
Netflix has launched a promotion that allows you to watch movies and series for free on Netflix among those available in a catalog that varies from time to time. It is not necessary to register and the only downside is that ads (from the platform itself, of course) may appear before the broadcast.
It is not the first campaign that allows you to watch Netflix for free (there have already been other occasions in which the company has offered certain titles in some markets), although it is the first to be launched globally. In fact, the series and movies that can be seen without paying are the same in all countries.
As a Netflix spokeswoman explained to PIXEL, “we are reviewing various marketing promotions in Spain to attract new members and offer them a great Netflix experience.” The idea, therefore, is that people can access a small part of the catalog to find out what they will find in a paid subscription.
Thus, the first episode of Elite, Grace and Frankie or Stranger Things, and films like Blind, Criminals at Sea or The Two Popes are available as part of this movement. As the firm itself explains, “you don’t have to subscribe or register: just press the play button to see them.”
HOW TO WATCH NETFLIX FOR FREE
To access you just have to enter Watch Free and select the title you want to see. In the case of series, only some chapters are available, while movies can be enjoyed in full.
The feature to watch Netflix episodes and movies for free is available online only (i.e. cannot be downloaded) and can be accessed from the browser (PC and Mac compatible) and Android devices. At the moment you cannot enter from iOS or other terminals, such as smart TVs.
According to Netflix, the free selection “keeps changing”, so it is possible that over time the titles will no longer be available and new ones will appear, although at the moment it has not given more information about this rotation.
